Pressure Testing & Leak Detection

Pressure testing is one of several ways of evaluating the structural integrity of pipelines or that of equipment. The main objective of pressure testing is to know if the subject equipment will not explode or burst under high pressure. NorthStar Integrated Solutions has carried out various pressure test jobs on pipelines, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, boilers and other process equipment using air, nitrogen, jet fuel, hydraulic oil or water as a medium with a pressure ranging up to 10,000 psi. We have a sizeable inventory of certified pressure pumps, gauges and pressure recorders to handle jobs of any magnitude. Our services include:.

Sand Cleanout Solutions / Coiled Tubing

Many oil wells produce sand that may accumulate and restrict crude production if not removed from the wellbore. Coiled tubing applications is a cost- and time-effective solution for well intervention operations. As opposed to the conventional sand cleanout methods of removing the tubing from the well, coiled tubing is inserted into the tubing against the pressure of the well and during production, taking out the need for a workover rig, and improving production levels of oil wells.
NorthStar Integrated Solution’s technical partnership as a channel partner for a global well services company, has enabled us successfully provide this costeffective sand cleanout solution to Exploration and Production companies in the Nigerian oil and gas sector, in line with local content mandate. Our typical sand cleanout solution summary can be seen below:

  • Rig up CT and pumping equipment and pressure test
  • RIH CT according to stimulation reports
  • Gently tag and confirm TOS
  • P/U CT, increase pumping rate and commence sand wash
  • Take sand bites according to simulation reports

  • Quantify recovered sand on surface.

Tank Cleaning Services

NorthStar Integrated Solutions offers a comprehensive tank cleaning service that includes product transfer, sludge removal, decontamination of the tank, internal cleaning. Our services are designed to meet our client’s needs along with efficiency, reliability and safety. NorthStar Integrated Solution’s personnel have the expertise and state of the art equipment for cleaning any type of tank including crude oil, fuel, gas and chemical tanks. Our personnel are trained to handle and work in all types of environments such as the normal and inert atmosphere.

NorthStar Integrated had recently ventured into non-man entry tank cleaning services. This service can be carried out on any kind of oil tanks either with floating or with a fixed roof. This system could recover hydrocarbon from its sludge up to 98% by ensuring a minimum reduction of waste disposal. Since there is no man entry required inside the tank, it is safe, fast and efficient.
